Pumpkin Oatmeal Smoothie

I had made a big batch of pumpkin puree but now what was I supposed to do with all of it?  How about a pumpkin oatmeal smoothie??  I’ve never had pumpkin and oatmeal together, but it just seems to make sense to pair them, doesn’t it?

Wish I could say I thought of putting pumpkin and oatmeal together, but the idea actually came from my gym.  There was a recipe posted for a pumpkin oatmeal smoothie, that I glanced at every day when I was there for about a month.  Once I made my pumpkin puree, this was the first thing I knew I wanted to try.  It’s super easy, fast, and a healthy option for breakfast or a snack.  I love the texture the oatmeal gives the smoothie – very satisfying!  Bottoms up!

Pumpkin Oatmeal Smoothie

Serves: 2
 
Ingredients
  • ⅔ cup rolled oats
  • 1⅓ cup almond milk
  • ⅔ cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 banana
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 6 ice cubes
Instructions
  1. Place all the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Pour into 2 glasses. Enjoy!
